Our association has been designated a “undesirable” organization

On 17 April 2026, it was reported that Russian authorities had designated our association, Future Russia – Switzerland, as an “undesirable organisation”.

This is a politically motivated act of repression aimed at breaking solidarity ties and restricting support for political prisoners. It comes amid escalating repression: Russian courts are handing down unprecedented sentences in cases such as the “Spring Case”, while the number of political prisoners continues to grow.

⚠️ Important: Any interaction with our association (including donations or membership fees) after this decision may create legal risks — including administrative or criminal liability — for individuals in Russia or those travelling there.

Please take this into account and refrain from interaction if you may be at risk.

We are not stopping our work. We will continue to support political prisoners and their families, develop solidarity campaigns, and raise awareness of repression — from Switzerland and internationally.

Solidarity cannot be outlawed.
