Letter Evenings for Political Prisoners
Letters to prisoners are a powerful tool of protection. They signal to prison administrations that the international community is watching, while providing the individual with the strength to endure isolation. We regularly host "Letter Evenings" in various Swiss cities.
How to write a letter with us
-
Join our meetings:
We provide paper, stamps, address lists, and the latest updates on prisoners. We also assist with translations and ensure texts comply with prison censorship requirements. -
Use electronic services:
You can send a letter via our dedicated portal or use online systems like "FSIN-Letter" or "Zonatelecom." We are available to provide technical guidance. -
What to write:
Share global news, stories about Switzerland, interesting facts, or simply words of encouragement. -
Important:
Please avoid political slogans or sensitive topics to ensure the letter passes censorship and reaches the recipient.
Special thanks to our local volunteers:
Alexey Akulov: Co-organizer of letter-writing evenings in Basel, assistance with translations.
Akmal Kosimov: Photography at letter-writing evenings in Geneva.
