"Freedom Zone" has outgrown its exhibition format and become Switzerland's largest international, decentralized festival in support of political prisoners. In 2025, venues in Zurich, Geneva, and Basel combined art, political debate, and direct fundraising.

The festival program offered a deep dive into the topic of repression. We presented unique exhibitions: "Portraits of Hope" (images of seriously ill prisoners) and "Repression Federation" (drawings created in prisons). The festival also served as a platform for expert roundtables on the political ethics of prisoner exchanges and the challenges of culture in exile. With the support of Migros Kulturprozent, we attracted over 400 participants and raised over CHF 7,000 for legal assistance for the families of prisoners of conscience.
