No Such People Here
The exhibition "No Such People Here" is a profound exploration of the lives of LGBTQ+ people in contemporary Russia, living under the oppression of discriminatory laws. Through personal stories, audio recordings, and visual images, Anna Narinskaya's project gives voice to those whom state propaganda seeks to deny their right to exist. Mounting this exhibition in Switzerland draws attention to the catastrophic human rights situation and breaks down the wall of indifference.
For our association, this project is an act of defending human dignity and fighting systemic oppression. We are using the exhibition space for an honest conversation about how the ideology of hate destroys lives. It is a testament to the courage of those who continue to be themselves against all odds, and a reminder to the world that protecting the rights of minorities is the foundation of any democratic society for which we fight.
